Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc (FMN) has announced the launch of its annual Prize for Innovation, aimed at recognizing and rewarding innovative ideas and solutions that have the potential to transform the food and agro-allied industries in Nigeria.
The FMN Prize for Innovation is a social impact initiative established by Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc (FMN) to promote innovative ideas in food production, innovation, and engineering. The ultimate goal of this initiative is to enable a sustainable food system in Nigeria.
Each year, the prize focuses on a critical aspect of the food value chain that is essential to transforming and sustainably developing the country’s food systems. This targeted approach allows the initiative to address specific challenges and opportunities in the industry.
The Theme for this year’s edition is “Innovative Practices in Livestock farming in Nigeria”.
Category 1 is reserved for registered Nigerian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) operating within the Food and Agro-Allied Sector. Category 2, on the other hand, is open to students who have developed innovative ideas aimed at transforming livestock farming in Nigeria.
Successful candidates in Category 1 will be invited to pitch their ideas in front of live judges, who will then award the winner a prize of N5 million.
