BeyondLimits, in collaboration with Zenith Bank, hosts the Zecathon, also known as the Zenith Bank Startup Pitch Competition, to back promising ventures with funding, mentorship, incubation, and visibility. The fifth edition is now accepting applications, offering a springboard for Nigerian and African founders building real solutions.
The program targets innovative technology across multiple verticals, including fintech, agritech (such as agricultural insurance), healthtech, embedded finance, cybersecurity, and adjacent fields like small-business software. Shortlisted startups gain pathways to capital, expert guidance, structured incubation, and invaluable networking.
Selected teams will compete for a total cash pool of ₦140 million. Beyond the prize money, finalists receive incubation and acceleration support, mentorship from seasoned operators, exposure to investors and corporate partners, and amplified visibility through the Zenith Bank and BeyondLimits ecosystems.
Eligibility is geared toward early-stage African startups with a legally registered business entity. Applicants should be active in at least one of the focus sectors, demonstrate a viable product or an MVP with some traction, and present a scalable model with clear growth potential.
Key timelines to note: applications close on October 31, 2025. Following evaluation and incubation phases, winners and finalists will be announced (see details on beyondlimits.global).
To apply, visit the official Zecathon page and complete the form with your company details, team information, traction, financials, and growth roadmap. Upload the required materials, such as your pitch deck, prototype links, and proof of registration, then await shortlisting for subsequent rounds, which include live pitches and the incubation track.
