Project T-MAX has officially commenced its Technical & Vocational Education & Training (TVET) Programme for Young Nigerians.
The programme is designed to equip Nigerians with Technical & Vocational skills while maximizing existing private and public TVET centres & resources across the country. Skill sectors to be covered are under: ICT, Building and Construction, Beauty Care and Cosemetology, and Engineering services.
15,000 Nigerians will be trained in Technical and Vocational training Program (T-VET) through the project Team Maximization (T-Max) across seven pilot states in Nigeria – Lagos, Ogun, Edo, Enugu, Kaduna, Nasarawa and Gombe. 3000 Nigerians would be trained in Lagos, while the other 12,000 will be trained in other states.
Other areas of training include: Automobile, Furniture Works, Welding & Fabrication, Plumbing & Fittings, Tiling & Interlocking, Electrical Installation, Solar Installation & Maintenance, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Repairs, Photography & Cinematography, Tailoring/Fashion Design, Beauty Care & Cosmetology, Leather Works.
At the end of the programme, outstanding participants will acquire Technical & Life skills in their chosen field, Get opportunities for internship placements, and Stand a chance of receiving Starter Packs.
Due to limited number of Starter packs, only those who meet the following requirements will be rewarded: Minimum of 90% attendance, Active class participation, Compliance with Class Rules and Regulations, Performance in class assessments and projects, and Successful completion of final assessments.
To be eligible for the programme, applicants must be Nigerians who are within the ages of 18-35, and must reside any of the pilot state. They must also have the ability to read and write in English.
The portal for registration has been open since September 1, 2022 and will go on til September 16, 2022.
