Start Up Energy Transition has commenced the 7th round of the 2023 Start Up Energy (SET) Award.
The SET Award is open to all energy and mobility start-ups that desire to become among the top 15 in 2023. Applicants can apply to one category and all subsequent applications to other categories will be disqualified.
Geeky Nigeria reports the Start Up Energy Transition Award (SET) is an international competition for start-ups worldwide who are working on ideas affecting the global energy transition and climate change. In the last six years, the award has received more than 2,700 applications from over 100 countries.
The award categories for the 2023 edition are as follows:
- Clean Energy & Storage
- Mobility & Transportation
- Quality Energy Access & SDG-7
- Buildings & Construction
- Industry
The seventh round of the SET Award will run until January 16, 2023. After this date, no application will be accepted.
From January 17. 2023 to February 16, 2023, there will be a Start-up rating, in which the SET evaluation partner rates the applications and determine the qualified applications that will be sent to the judges for final review. After that, the jury reviews the applications to select the best 100 start-ups of 2023 for the SET100 list 2023.
On March 28, 2023, Winners will be announced – The finalists will come to Berlin and meet the jury at the jury meeting to present their innovation. On the day after, they will pitch their solution at the SET Tech Festival and Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue on 28 March 2023. In the evening, the winners of each category are announced at the SET Award Ceremony 2023.
