Anthropic Labs has introduced a new product called Claude Design , aimed at simplifying how individuals and teams create high-quality visual content.
The tool allows users to work directly with Claude to produce a wide range of materials, including prototypes, presentations, one-pagers, and full design layouts. It is powered by the company’s latest vision model, Claude Opus 4.7, and is currently available in a research preview for Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers, with access rolling out gradually.

The company presents Claude Design as a response to a common challenge in the creative process. Designers often have limited time to explore multiple ideas in depth, while non-designers such as founders, marketers, and product managers may find it difficult to turn concepts into visual formats.
With Claude Design, users can describe their ideas in simple terms and receive an initial version, then refine it through conversation, inline comments, direct edits, and adjustable controls. The system can also apply a company’s design standards so that outputs remain consistent with existing branding.
Early use cases show how the platform can support different roles. Designers can turn static concepts into interactive prototypes for testing, while product managers can outline feature flows and collaborate with developers or design teams. The tool also makes it easier to explore multiple creative directions in a short time. In addition, it can generate pitch decks, marketing assets, and advanced prototypes that include elements such as video, voice, and 3D features.
Claude Design follows a workflow that is intended to feel natural. During onboarding, the system can analyse a team’s codebase and design files to build a reusable design system that includes colours, typography, and components. Users can begin projects from text prompts, uploaded documents such as DOCX or PPTX files, or by capturing elements from live websites. After that, changes can be made through direct edits or fine-tuning controls, with the option to apply updates across the entire project.
The platform also includes collaboration features for teams. Designs can be shared within an organisation with different access levels. Users can keep a document private, allow others to view it through a link, or grant editing access so colleagues can modify the design and interact with Claude together in a shared conversation. Finished work can be shared as an internal link, saved in folders, or exported to formats such as Canva, PDF, PPTX, and standalone HTML files.
For development workflows, Claude Design offers a handoff feature to Claude Code. When a design is ready, the system can package assets and specifications into a bundle that can be passed along for implementation with a single instruction. Anthropic says it plans to expand the platform further in the coming weeks by making it easier to integrate Claude Design with other tools that teams already use.
With this release, Anthropic is extending Claude’s capabilities beyond text and code into visual creation, positioning the tool as a collaborative option for both professionals and non-designers.
